Hows your 2012 so far guys?

hmm I went out a couple of times with my friends and I went JB on the last day of 2011!!!
I went visiting about 3- 4 shopping malls in JB, tebrau being the last shopping mall before heading to somewhere call sentosa smtk for dinner and after that we went looking for Luk-Luk - home Sweet home!!

how 's my day recently?
Wasn't feeling well for the whole of holidays, have been falling sick on and off. Not sure whether is it because I have not fully recovered when I fall sick last November. This time, it hit me again but much worst with all the vomiting, diahrrea and fever coming together. Hard to fall asleep too because I was aching all over. Visited the doc who said that I have a weaker stomach than others so I cant eat too much or too full. Have to eat light food for the whole day.. Guess I have to stick to this diet for a while

Went out with Fishie and Dan for a night movie, New Year Eve its a really nice show go and watch!!

Went out with G, V and P for korean Buffet!! The taste is still lingering in my mouth =DDD I can't wait to have korean buffet again. As usual we were all late haha luckily we made it in time for the lunch buffet

Gonna see G and P tomorrow at NGEE ANN POLYYYYY we have been planning this for ages but couldn't find the time. Kaki fuyong?, vegetarian food, chicken rice, black peppper sandwich, campus delliiii and MORE which one should I eat? and recently, I heard that pepper lunch and many other new stalls have been set up under the new block (which replaces our beloved Canteen 1 using our money =.=)

Can't for tomorrow to come.. have to start running home to lose weight haha

Experience a lot of happy moments for the past weeks, weddings and birthday parties.

All equate to the next stage of life.

The most recent wedding I attended was the wedding of one of my cousins from my dad side. when I was younger, I thought nothing about weddings, I thought I was only there to eat but as I grow older I try my very best to control my tears from falling. To me, Marriage is not only about celebrating the union of 2 people but the union of 2 families and creating one big union. Its about pushing on through life with an additional hand in yours. Its about caring for more people to make your world a better place to live in. Its about everything that affects your world.

The part where I feel really sad?

Was when the father gave away his little girl.

And when he believe the hands of another man will continue to bring happiness to his little girl.

When you are born, your little hands are held by your parents and those who loves you to walk you through the early stages of your life, to teach, guide and shelter you well. When you enter the next stage of your life, it brings them heartache to let you continue on your life without their shelter and not knowing how well will you be living in future..... I can't go on... shall stop here

I feel so upset. My good friend, stood on the side of others without understanding the situation. It was very obvious the other party was in the wrong but she keep coming up with excuses for the other party all the time.After the situation was explain in detailed, she told me she stood on the side of others because at that time she didnt know the situation well.

1st point - She keep coming up with excuses for the other party
2nd point - She said she did not know the situation well

In conclusion, it really speaks a lot about our friendship.

I'm a person who draws a clear line between my work and personal life. I treat you as a friend when it comes it a personal life but when it comes to work, if you didnt meet the basic expectations, I won't go easy on you.

What is basic expectations?

An example of a basic expectation

In a primary or secondary school, if you didn't hand up your work on time, will you teacher tell you "its okay, hand it up to me when you are free to do so" or will your teacher tells you to leave the classroom?

Another example of a basic expectation

Since primary or secondary school we have been taught tt copying is wrong. Since polytechnic we have been taught to do referencing and the consequences of plagarism.
If somebody did not give a single referencing in their report and did not inform me beforehand that their work doesn't have references and I Have To Start ASKing for the references am I wrong to be pissed that such basic expectation is not met?

The situation was so called understood by my friend when plagarism begin to happen, after so many things has happen. I feel so upset, nobody put themselves in my shoes. I took up the job of editing all the work to help, just to be taken for granted that I will do the rephrasing and that I wouldn't know if plagarism has happen. FYI, I look through the sources of references given in the reports submitted to me.

Friends or not, at this age studying as an undergradutate shouldn't you understand basic work ethics and responsibilities towards your group mates?

This is seriously not about targeting anybody, I just feel so upset. Nobody has empathy for the person who has to do extra work on top of their own work of researches. And this does not include reports that are not up to standard.

Is somebody you just knew more important than somebody you know for so long?

I've been looking through my secondary school photos and suddenly I realized that I miss my ex-classmates and the times we shared. I never thought that I will feel this way because secondary school wasn't the best part of the my life and every single day I was like dying to graduate soon.

No matter what happens in the past, I feel that it should stay where it belong. In The Past. Because we have all grown up with different perspectives and maturity. Not sure if they feel the same. I have since lost contact with my ex-classmates and I hope that each and every one of them are doing well in their life.

School started last week and I'm trying to adapt to the hours of school life. I have been sleeping for 12hours almost everyday which I do not understand why and I fear memory loss when I sleep too much but if I don't I'll feel tired. Contradicting.....

Anyway, Miss Sheryl has fallen sick since last week when school started and is still in the process of recovering. This happens once in a blue moon and when it does, its lasts for quite some time.

Sometimes I wonder whether am I a stick-in-the-mud. Why do I say this?

Because of a few reasons, such as, I always think of the consequences before my actions, I weigh the pros and cons, I feel that when you grow up you have a responsibility towards yourself and to those around you. Maybe that why I have never fit in before. Maybe that why my life is not as exciting as those who prefer not to know what will come next though the consequences can be predictable sometimes.

Responsibility. What is that? Am I the only one among my peers to be so hung up on this word?

When you go out late at night its your choice but to take care of yourself and not let your parents worry, its your responsibility.

When I was growing up, I see some of my classmates not taking their studies seriously, and failing is, well, nothing to them at all. I wonder, what is the definition of responsibility to people of our generations?

We are the "Technology Generations". Is that why our world seems so virtual at times? Is that why values or virtues or whatever teachings that our elders passed down to us, which seldom exists in the virtual world, seldom exist in our real world too?

Is that how hypocrisy was developed/formed? Because we are hiding behind our screens most of the time? Which is why when hypocrisy was brought to the real world, we are hiding behind something too?

I don't know. I don't know what is going on. I don't know why I'm not fitting in. I don't know why do I seemed like an adult when at this age, maybe, hmmm, I should be young and reckless. Maybe when I die, my life may not be as exciting as the others but one thing for sure I know, is the definition of responsibility.

Finally!!! All my presentations are completed and I'm left with consumer behaviour report to do which is due on Monday.

After class yesterday, I went on a shopping spree with my classmates Zhao Lin and Gina, its been ages since I last shopped at Bugis street, I'm always clicking online. My wardrobe is like seriously bursting soon. Gina left a while later as she had an appointment with her friends, Zhao and I continued shopping and we went for dinner after that. She is soooooooo skinny and she managed to finish all her food! 2nd time seeing her do that hahaa =p so good to not being able to grow fat. we were chatting while eating and it was 10 plus by the time we left the place.

When I reach home, I was contemplating whether to do consumer behaviour report as it was a last min thing that the due date for the report was being brought forward. But I go lazy and went to sleep after.

Gonna do my report now.

how was my week? ST field report is finally over. The days of staying back in school until it closes at 10.30pm, continue to do the field report until 4.30am in the morning, waking up the next day early in the morning to have group meetings in school. This goes on and on and on for the past few days but I'm really glad I made nice friends and group members.

My life consist of black and white, no grey areas.

This can be applied to my personality, in a scenario of an working environment, I draw a clear line between friends and colleagues. I can be the best of friends with you but if you give me slipshod work especially when I'm the editor, I won't give you face, because its your responsibilties to produce up-to-standard work.

We are no more in secondary or primary school when we can close one eye or even both eyes to everything we do.

I get annoyed at people who attempts to use biggggg words in their sentences without understanding the full meaning of their own sentence. Seriously, I feel that in a report, its best to use simplified BASIC words as much as possible. Purpose of this? to allow the lecturer to understand. Simple.

Why bother trying to "hao lian" to the lecturer how great you are in utilising big words but the lecturer don't understand your sentences in the end. This will only results in low grade becasue firstly you are focuing more on using big words than the points itself.

I will be having a hectic schedule over the next few weeks.

I took up the job of editing my groups' project work. Maybe to some people I am stupid to find trouble for myself but I think I am better than those who don't do work or take the initiative.

After editing the reports, I really admire teachers because they have to go through shit work from students who cant be bothered. Now I know why teachers take so long to mark the papers submitted by students and I also know why teachers said that "from a report, you can see whether is a student working hard enough on the paper or the student couldn't be bothered"

It is obvious when a sentence doesn't have a point, it is obvious when there are obvious mistakes (which a primary school student can correct) in the report and it wasn't corrected but left as it is to be submitted.

It is annoying when people try to use big words to fit into a sentence but the word seems out of place with the rest of the sentence. It is even more annoying when people still think that their English is good and they are right.

Don't get me wrong, it has got nothing to do with whether is your English good or bad, (my English is Not fantastic) but your attitude and responsibility towards your studies and group members

I was at hort park today with my group members doing project and since I had my camera with me I went around taking pictures. As I was standing near a bush and was taking pictures I did not notice a snake on the bush, it had almost the same colour as the bush and I really had a shock because I was able to see its red eyes and I thought it was a fake snake but when we went back later on it wasn't there anymore!!!!!! I reallllllyyy had a shock!

And I really hope my project goes well...

Went shopping with Xinyi again and we saw this pair of shoes!!!!

We really like it a lot and my dear xinyi (who always have better luck than me in asking for a discount) ask for a discount if both of us bought the same design of the shoes but the seller refused to give a discount as it was under the new arrival category in the shop so we went off but we found the affliated shop selling this pair of shoes and we promptly ask for a discount and the seller gave us a discount of 4 bucks each! It may not be a lot to some of you but those who shopped a lot will know that discounts are normally 1 - 2 bucks off for new arrivals.

Sometimes I wonder why do I have a blog when I can't show my emotions through it when I'm upset.

You might wonder "Why can't she show her unhappiness on her blog, what does she mean?"

Reason is this, for e.g I may be unhappy because of a argument or over a event which can be prevented but nothing was done to prevent it or when I wish to state my opinions to my friends but it was not taken into considerations. why can't I blog it out because there will be people who thinks that they are the targets of my blog post and they start to shoot back by blogging a irrevelant post. I have no intentions to target anybody but my blog is solely for my own purpose and as a result I refrain from blogging about events that took place that led to me being unhappy because I refused to take part in meaningless argument or quarrel. This applys to situations that I have to deal with in my life too, if there is a clash of opinions or if one side only want to be heard and not listen to what the other party says, or insist on doing things their way, I will just walk away.

Because its meaningless to continue the conversation.

For me, I'm always generous and nice to friends who I first met as to me it will be a clean slate of friendship and it requires 2 people to determined how the friendship will turn out and will always think of "we" "we" and "we" instead of "me", "myself" and "I". I'm not trying to paint a picture of myself as an angel, its just that I realised that for some people, their true colours starts appearing after some months. For e.g you can be generous to your friend and not get calculative over 10cents 20 cents but your friend is calculative over these few cents and expects it to be returned or they will remember that you owe them the money, or when you have a appointment with them but they take their own sweet time (such as watching tv tilll the show ended before) to prepare and meet you, or when there is some tedious work to be done and if its not their job to do it, they will not volunteer at all, or when they always think of their interests and only the interests of themselves, how would you feel?

For me, if my friends keep getting calculative then I'll see no need to be generous to them anymore because they don't deserve it, if they only think of their own interests then don't blame me if one day you feel that I'm mean to you because I'm a reflection of how my friends behave towards me, its not on purpose, it a natural behaviour once your patience for that person have stretch long enough like months or years. You treat me the way you want to be treated, if you treat me like I'm not worth your time and that our years of friendship is not worth it then don't blame me if we can no longer be as close as before because maybe you should reflect on how you have been treating me.

I just got back from a biz trip in hk. well things didnt exactly turn out well and no it was not exactly fun at all. Biz trips are definitely not fun. Though there are unhappy things which happens but I'm glad I did enjoy myself with my colleagues when we found some time to go out.

I'm back after so long as it was really busy at the Dental Clinic and recently I change job again to a Events Assistant. Hope things go all right for me. I love my little new baby niece.

I just realised something sometimes I don't reply to texts not because I'm rude but because I have no comments to replies I received and I don't want to start a quarrel. When a text msg takes up 2 sms space and the whole thing is about arguing back pointlessly then I see no reason to reply.

Just went out with Xinyi today!! So sorry I had to keep postponing the buffet dinner due to work commitments. I hope the next week goes well and we are able to have our buffet. I make sure I eat less during LUNCH!! =D

It has been quite a while since I last blogged. So what have I been doing all these while????

Working as a dental assistang at a dental clinic. My colleagues are nice but its not easy learning the ropes since its in a healthcare industry and there are a lot of things which I don't understand but I'm learning! I am!! =) Its a different kind of experience from what I normally work as like admin assistant or retail and its scary sometimes because I'll be attached to different dentists everyday. =)

Got to go and rest I had a long day today!!

Yeah!!! Biz law was tiring and yes I admit that my ears were shut off most of the time though my lecturer is good!

I satisfied my cravings today!!! I had Tom Yum Ban Mian for lunch, Nachos for dinner and watched the Andy Lau's movie and yes I drank Milk Tea to subsitute my craving for Koi/ Gong Cha.

I discover 2 things today.

Gong Li is really beautiful in her own way.

What it actually means to relax and not think about work/studies or problems that are bugging you.

I always had this problem of worrying and no matter what working on I always have worries at the back of my mind which I cannot forget which leads to me not concentrating on stuff I'm working on.
Today, I learn how to relax and really concentrate on the movie. how? By sitting 2nd row from the front and tilting your head to look at the screen. With the slightly sore neck and the concentrationg to focus on a tilted screen, it hard not to forget your worries =p

Leighton and Dylan broke up shortly after. Whether was it for the popularity that Kasey dated Dylan or is she really in love with him and will treasured Dylan the way Leighton did, Leighton didn't know. Kasey and Dylan begin dating but it only lasted for 1 month before Kasey broke up with Dylan and never looked back.Leighton's heart broke even more because she had given up something she treasured so much but it seems like nothing to another person but Leighton never once went back to Dylan.The next thing that crushed Leighton was her best friend,Zan had also left her to be best friends with Kasey.Leighton's life went spirally downhill,she drop out of her clique, she couldn't concentrate on her studies and soon 1 year later she was transferred out of her class and coincidentally into Kasey's class. Being transferred out of her class was like a tight slap, a wake up call to Leighton, she work hard on her studies and soon she graduated and never once did she look back.

The pain was gone, the memories faded, the tears dried up but the scars are left behind.For some time Leighton personality changed and it includes not trusting anyone anymore and she thought it was only for temporary but slowly she was changing, she was independent in some sense, mature in another, she was used to the loneliness, she was used to the peacefulness in her life, she was used to not having someone by her side or in her life and from then on this was how she lived till this day...

Sometimes I hear things like SG guys don't match up to SG girls in terms of appearances or something like that. I do agree to a certain extent. What is that certain extent? When you see a guy who doesn't have manners and couldn't behave himself, standing next to a pretty girl who can carry herself well. To me that extent is in terms of personality and behaviour and I will feel that the girl deserve better. Well the guy may have treated the girl like she is the only one in the entire world to him and the girl is the only one who knows so its not for us the onlookers to judge but we are just onlookers =p

How about appearances? Some people may say "oooh this guy not good looking but the girlfriend is so prettyyy" or " This girl is drop dead gorgeous but her boyfriend..........."

Here is something for you to think about:

What if the girl removes all traces of her makeup or contact lens that make her eyes look prettier?? Will you still think that her partner doesn't match up to her? hahahha

A hot Sunday!!!! The weather was weird yesterday with the sudden HEAVY downpour which didnt even last. it just came and went.

I went out to JB last wednesday with a friend and was shopping around when eyeliners caught my eye then I realised almost every girl I passed by that day be it in JB or SG, they had eyeliners on. How thick is thick makeup I wondered.. with thick eyeliner on, is it deemed as thick makeup?? On top of that I realised that a good-looking guy normally has a pretty girlfriend with thick foundation, eyeliner and falsies on. Is thick make-up essential is snagging a good-looking guy?

I watched a show recently where popular models who do photoshoots had to remove their makeup and they really look different. As what the hosts said, when the person walk on the streets you will never turn your head to look at her, let alone ask her to appear on TV.

I did a search and cosmetics started in Eygpt around 3500BC and now cosmetics is used by girls as young as kindergarten to experiment with. I have heard this sentence many times, cosmetics is used to enhance your looks not hide it but how many actually follows?? In any way, cosmetics has now become a part of a girl's growing up years. There is nothing negative or positive about it, it just depends on what age you are starting to expose yourself to cosmetics I think, as our skin are still more prone to pimples and acne when we are growing up.
