I feel so upset. My good friend, stood on the side of others without understanding the situation. It was very obvious the other party was in the wrong but she keep coming up with excuses for the other party all the time.After the situation was explain in detailed, she told me she stood on the side of others because at that time she didnt know the situation well.

1st point - She keep coming up with excuses for the other party
2nd point - She said she did not know the situation well

In conclusion, it really speaks a lot about our friendship.

I'm a person who draws a clear line between my work and personal life. I treat you as a friend when it comes it a personal life but when it comes to work, if you didnt meet the basic expectations, I won't go easy on you.

What is basic expectations?

An example of a basic expectation

In a primary or secondary school, if you didn't hand up your work on time, will you teacher tell you "its okay, hand it up to me when you are free to do so" or will your teacher tells you to leave the classroom?

Another example of a basic expectation

Since primary or secondary school we have been taught tt copying is wrong. Since polytechnic we have been taught to do referencing and the consequences of plagarism.
If somebody did not give a single referencing in their report and did not inform me beforehand that their work doesn't have references and I Have To Start ASKing for the references am I wrong to be pissed that such basic expectation is not met?

The situation was so called understood by my friend when plagarism begin to happen, after so many things has happen. I feel so upset, nobody put themselves in my shoes. I took up the job of editing all the work to help, just to be taken for granted that I will do the rephrasing and that I wouldn't know if plagarism has happen. FYI, I look through the sources of references given in the reports submitted to me.

Friends or not, at this age studying as an undergradutate shouldn't you understand basic work ethics and responsibilities towards your group mates?

This is seriously not about targeting anybody, I just feel so upset. Nobody has empathy for the person who has to do extra work on top of their own work of researches. And this does not include reports that are not up to standard.

Is somebody you just knew more important than somebody you know for so long?
